DR. LESLIE'S STORY
I grew up playing sports and knew from 11 years old that I wanted to become a Physical Therapist. In the 4th grade, my passion for anatomy was ignited through an assignment to memorize all of the bones in the body. I became fascinated by understanding injuries and what is going on beneath the surface.
Plagued by sprained ankles, I spent a lot of time in Physical Therapy, observing the magic of rehabilitation. I loved the combination of science and creativity. Once I set my mind on earning a Doctorate in Physical therapy, nothing would stop me. And I'm glad I followed my dream because I have loved my job every day since!!
I've worked in orthopedics and sports injury rehabilitation for 18 years and own a private practice in San Diego, California. I help people recover from injury and get back to their sport or lifestyle stronger, more confident, and more resilient, so they can thrive in whatever they love to do.

I value teaching my patients how to excel in their sports and life. Not only do I teach WHAT to do, but HOW and WHY it works so they are empowered to make better decisions and succeed on their own.
I want my patients to feel confident and knowledgeable so they can be strong and independent.
With ACL injuries being the most devastating injury for an athlete (and most people not knowing how preventable they are), it was clear to me that I wanted to spread awareness and save athletes from experiencing this life-changing injury.
...and ACL Strong was born!
I developed an online program to make injury prevention training more accessible and realistic for people to do on their own. I scoured the research and took the BEST components of proven programs. I figured out how to get the MOST BENEFIT out of the LEAST amount of time, so people will actually do it.
